Volvo v 50 immobiliser try start
Does anyone know anyone who can help me with a code scanner that can plug my v 50 in and check the faults and maybe reset the software many thanks pebbles

usualy this error is voltage related. Have you checked your system voltage at the battery and tried putting the battery on a charger or used a jump?
Dunno about any fault codes that would preclude the car from starting - most scanners can read/clear Volvo ECU codes and a few models like the iCarsoft support some of the Volvo proprietary features (like the ebrake reset). Anything that would need programming would require a VIDA DICE tool
