Default 1998 oil leak non-turbo

I started reparing my aunt's V70 for her to save her some cash. I successfully installed a new hub as well as trunk shocks.
I noticed a decent size puddle of oil (about 8" wide) after just having her car in my garage for 2 hours. I jacked the front end up and cannot seem to pinpoint exactly *where* the oil is coming from, it runs down and drips from the oil pan/transmission housing border.
I did some research on here and am guessing it is in need of that new PCV breather system? If it is leaking that bad though, will this kit not be the only thing I need? Does this mean she likley blew out the crankcase or rear main seals?
Like I said though, I really cant see where this oil is coming from, but the location sure seems like it is in the vicinity of this PCV trap. I would hate to have her blow the 155 on the kit and this not be the problem.

Yes,

* Do PCV first:

* But more than likely, you have RMS (Rear Main Seal) leak. It is a 9-10h job.
I am very mechanically inclined and fixed everything in my car but the RMS job is a PITA job, so I gave the job to my indy; $70 x 9h = $630 labor.
Use ONLY dealer RMS!

x2. unless you have a lift then i wouldn't try to r&r the tranny. to access the seal.

Yeah I dont think I will be doing that seal job either, I can barely get under the car enough as it is. I dont even look forward to doing that PCV breather kit unless this was my car.
So the tranny needs removed in order to get to the RMS? I guess this makes sense, as it sure seemed like the oil pan was snug up against the transmission when I was looking at it. I am only used to working on my Ford Probe and Buick Lesabre, so i never saw such a setup before.

By the time that the breather blows the seal, the seal is bad, too.

i have heard of some 240's rear mains leaking and after the pcv system was restored it stopped leaking. very, very slim chance though.
