Default front rotor removal

I am replacing the wheel/axle housing on a v70xc. however i am stuck at the rotor. there seems to be no locator pin, normally 10mm i think. and there seems to be a ring on hte axle/hub that is kekeping the rotor from coming of. is there a trick? i can just break it off? why dont i have a locating pin especially since this car has lug studs instaed of wheel studs?

i have never seen anything tlike this before so thanks for the help/advice.

There's no ring holding the rotor on. If there is no 10mm locater bolt, then removing the caliper to clear the rotor is all you need to do. If it's still stuck, get a BFH to remove it.

There is definitely a ring. maybe i should tell you that 3 of the lug studs broke and the rim wobbled around enough to scare the inside of the rim. do you believe that the ring i am dealing with may have broken of from the rim?

i need to get the rotor off to get the axle hub housing to remove broken studs but would probably rather just replace it.

thanks
