Question Leaving a heavy load in V70 trunk for a week

Hello,

I am a student in a bit of a predicament. I just bought a Ford Model T engine that weighs around 500 pounds. I got it into my 2001 V70 trunk with a cherry picker and got it back to my apartment, but I do not have a cherry picker to remove the engine from my trunk.

I am about to go on spring break, and will be leaving my car for the week.

Will leaving it loaded for a week (not driving it, in other words, simply stationary) damage the suspension?

I see no drastic indication of the rear sagging but I don't want to ruin the suspension.

I am a bit short on time and options to remove the engine (I have finals coming up) so I want to know if it would be ok to just leave it and sort it out after break.

I am painfully aware that I did not think this through as thoroughly as I should have.

Thanks!

Just put a jack under the rear, if you have two put one on each side. Should be ok though however I believe you car has nivomats and that are not cheap to replace.
