Default NEED HELP! "No oil pressure" appears

Hello, I was recently in a car accident that totaled my 1993 940 Volvo wagon and decided to stick with Volvos since I loved my wagon. I got a 2001 V70 XC AWD wagon 3 days ago from a dealer. My dad handled the paper work but apparently bought it "as is" without warranty.

There are about 154,000 miles on it and I've only driven it max 200 miles. Today as I was driving my cars power suddenly cut out and my engine shut off. I broke, put it in park, restarted the car on the first try but the "NO OIL PRESSURE, STOP ENGINE ASAP" light appeared. My house was down the street so I put it in neutral and pushed the rest of the way. I thought it was the oil being low so I let it cool off for a couple of hours. When I went to look, the oil was full.

I restarted the car and it fired up right away but it made a very loud kind of grinding noise when I did it. I tried to move the car but it just felt so heavy and gritty when I pulled out that I didnt want to push it anymore so I just stayed at home. When my friend started up the car and I was looking at the engine the loud noise was still there but when she turned it off I heard a very loud high pitched noise from the right corner and it stopped maybe 15 seconds after the car turned off.

I have no idea what any of this means, I've only had it for 3 days!!! Can anyone help me? And does me buying the car "as is" void me getting any help from the dealer?

I'd contact the dealer ASAP and let them know what is going on, you never know, they may actually help you out, but don't get your hopes up.

Whatever you do, don't start the engine again. If the dealer you purchased it from tells you they're not willing to help you out, call a local Volvo specialist and have them check it out. It could be something as simple as a pickup or pump, but running the car any more can severely damage the engine if you haven't wrecked it already.
