Replacing seized A/C Compressor 2004 2.5T
Hi guys, I had the serpentine belt snap on me this weekend, and upon closer inspection, it looks like the culprit was a seized A/C compressor. I'm going to try to tackle the job by myself and was wondering how hard of a job it is.
I've previously replaced the alternator, but I'm not sure how much of the A/C compressor I can access from the top. It looks like I'll have to tackle pretty much the whole job from the bottom. Is this a feasible job with some elbow grease and some patience? It doesn't seem like there's much room for the compressor to come out. Does the subframe need to be dropped?
Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
