Default Steering Vibration Upon Braking

Hi first time posting here. I just bought a 1998 V70 XC with 115K on it. Its great buy at 5500.00. Only one thing. When I break I get a vibration in steering. Other than that great car enjoying it. Any idea what it could be? Things I need to look for?

Thanks
James

It's most likely is a slightly warped brake rotor. But,make sure there is no play in the front end.

When you replace the brakes on these get the good ceramic ones!!! The vibration is either warped rotors- it could also be loose suspension, an easy way to test is to jack your vehicle up on jackstands, then use your floor jack to slightly raise your suspension on one side at a time and see if there is any play. If you have alot of play you're spring seats and strut mounts should be replaced.
