Transmission "thump"
Hey all,
I have a 2001 V70 2.4T with 83xxx miles. For the last 1000 miles or so, a strange thing has been happening.
After I drive it for anything more than five minutes, if I then attempt to put it in reverse, it delays shifting for about 1-2 full seconds then shifts with a thud that I can hear and feel. Ditto for shifting back into drive. (I have to turn around to park on the correct side of the street, although that thud worries me enough that I'm going to start driving around the block to avoid putting it in reverse.
I've had the ETM recall and the MAF replaced, but no other work. At my 75,000 mile service they said all was peach with the transmission.
What is this?
