Long long ago in the 850 forum appeared a tutorial on Turbo Coolant Inlet And Outlet Hose Replacement. While there are some variations from an 850 to an '05 V70R, it seems that the systems basically remain the same - crammed into the same small space.
The V-band on the turbo inlet gave me fits and it is obvious after struggling for a hour or so that the hoses need to be removed for the turbo inlet pipe, especially the hose with the factory crimp clamp. I don't recall any way to remove the unit that is plugged into the inlet pipe. Nor do I remember what is the name of the device that has the multi-conductor wire on the bottom and the hose coming off at an angle.
Can someone please give me the correct terminology?
Is there any other way of removing the turbo inlet pipe without unplugging 2 or 3 hoses AND the electrical connector?

The electrical unit is a heater for the PCV fumes. Don't try to remove it from the intake pipe, you'll need a new oring to make it seal again. The small hose attached to the heater with the factory crimp clamp - don't undo the clamp, the hose is not clamped at the other end, it just slides off the PCV pipe on the other end.
