V70 Release out of Park (in the morning)
Hello Volvo Forum!
I am a new V70 owner and have noticed that "the feature" that is suppose to prevent the car from coming out of Park before it's ready has been inconsistent.
I've talked with our local dealer who gave me some interesting information concerning this feature. What I haven't found is anything written down that states the REAL PURPOSE for this feature.
It only happens in the morning and the time it takes for "the feature" to release and allow me to get the car in reverse and going varies. At first I thought it was temperature specific. However, I am finding that temperature is not making that much of a difference. With the same set of temperature conditions the vehicle has come right out of park or it has taken up to 15 minutes for it to release and allow me to move the transmission stick/lever.
On three different occasions, when the transmission stick/lever would not release I would get a Check Engine Light and the OBD-II code would read, "MAF or VAF CKT Range/Perf." (I have my own Actron CP9135 OBD-II AutoScanner ).
I need to know if anyone else has knowledge of these issues and would be kind enough to shed some light on my problem?
Thanks,
Tom
