I'd like to get a set of all-purpose roof racks for my 2007 V70. I've used Thule before and have a set of 50" bars leftover but am wondering if I ought to consider a different brand? I would expect to lash on a canoe or kayaks perhaps, maybe a cargo carrier, perhaps bikes (although I just ordered a 4-bike hitch carrier...) Any suggestions?

 

The Volvo racks are made by Thule, as far as I know. Check craigslist. I see them all the time in my area, though I've only really looked for stuff for my 850, not for something to fit a car as new as yours.

 

i bougt the ones for the v70 off ebay and they were volvo ones. i had 3 kayaks on my roof racks and drove 10hrs w/o a problem.
