Who else has a 5-speed V70?
I am in Salisbury, North Carolina, and travelled all the way to Tillson(upstate), New York to buy my 2000 V70. I only found five when searching Auto Trader and EBay. I knew it would not be an easy find. My Independent Mechanic had to see it before he believed it was a five speed. Neither he nor his partner had ever seen one!
So, I was curious to know who else here might have a 5-speed V70. Mine is non-turbo, non-xc.
Greatest vehicle EVER.

When I bought my 94 850 Turbo I was going to buy an 850 five speed. Once I drove the Turbo, there was no way I was buying anything except the Turbo. I would love to have a Turbo five speed, but the turbo is way more important to me than the five speed. I know they make the S70 T5 in a five speed, wonder if the made the V70 T5 five speed?
I am just the opposite. The five speed trumped the turbo. BUT, I also never saw a manual turbo. I think the closest you can get to a turbo with manual shift is a clutch less shift. Not for me.
Just FYI, the auto tranny is a 5 speed as well, so you might want to be a little clearer in your question (I'm guessing you're interested in manual 5 speeds). Anyway, they are somewhat rare, but not horrible to find. Usually I would see about 2-4 available at a time when we were looking. We ended up getting the auto because we plan to do some towing with it, and I have to say I've been very pleasantly suprised with the performance of the auto 5 speed (especially after the tranny software update). It's not as good as an actuall manual, but the manual mode on it is one of the best "manumatic" trannies I've experienced.
Anytime you say five speed, I think it's assumed you are talking about a manual transmission. Even though the automatic may well have five gears, I've never heard it referred to as a five speed.
