My XC60 stopped the engine at a stop sign (stop/start feature) and it has not turned over since.

I removed the starter, bench tested it, and it works fine.

The start/stop battery and the main battery are brand new and under warranty.

I swapped the starter relay with the relay next to it in the fuse box (same part number) and the car will not turn over.

If you've had this problem and figured it out don't be shy.

1st update. The cable that runs from the positive battery terminal to the starter has a fuse in it, and that fuse was blown. I couldn't get the Volvo part so I bought a four foot long four gage cable, swapped it out, and the car started right up. I changed the starter too. I don't want to burn up the electrical system, and the starter is the only thing on that circuit.

 

That is interesting. I would have never known there was fuse located there. Thanks for the update!
