2022 XC60 battery drain, very serious
agree very much, very unnecessary features running behind. nowadays i also turn of the car's SIM Data usage whenever i park underground when there's minimal telco signal. software engineers should not live in own Avatar but please experience the car and understand user's challenges.
Is Volvo being at all helpful to you in resolving this issue.
A couple of weeks ago it's been updated to 2.9 OTA, didn't know 2.10 is already released. As per this thread, most probably is the TCAM battery draining the car battery. The technical department of the dealer in Malaysia is more transparent and helpful, but not the customer service.

Oh so sorry to hear that you had a dead car with 2.9. Guess what my dealer told me about it being fixed is not the case.
Volvo has been silent on this dead car issue and also why OTA is not available for the 2022 B5 XC60. Shame on them for extremely disappointing customer care and lack of sensitivity to what the customer is experiencing with this vehicle; it is shameful !

Our 2 month old XC60 with the mild hybrid would not start after being parked for about 30 minutes.
Volvo's roadside service could not jump start it with either a fully charged portable jump start kit or from his running truck.
He also could not tow the vehicle because it would not come out of Park and he had a flatbed tow truck.
A few days later after it was towed to the dealer and analyzed, here is some of the feedback from the Volvo service advisor:
1. A problem with a small battery in the shark fin antenna was causing the main battery to drain.
2. It would have taken at least 30 minutes of charging from the tow truck to be able to start the vehicle.
3. It is recommended to never try to jump start a Volvo mild hypbrid vehicle due to the complexity of the battries and how they are interconnected.
4. It took 14 hours of charging at the dealer to restore the battery.
5. There was never any indication of a battery discharge issue prior to the vehicle becoming inoperable (no warning light, no message, not hard to start).
6. The dealer said another vehicle with the very same issue came in right after mine.
Anyone else experience this?
I am not very comfortable with a vehicle that dies unexpectantly, can't be jump started and can't be towed by a truck that requires the vehicle be put into Neutral.

No warning whatsoever about failing battery.
I cannot believe that you cannot put this car in neutral. Seems like a major safety issue to me.
This experience as well as the experience with roadside service has turned me completely off Volvo.
After doing the latest software installation my Volvo is completely dead as well. Same issues, you cannot put it into neutral you cannot jump start it. Mine is fortunately parked at home. However Volvo Roadside assistance has now sent out three different towing companies that have been unable to tow because it's in a side garage and cannot be put into neutral.
No warning whatsoever about failing battery.
