External Temperature Sensor Issue
I have a problem with the external temperature sensor circuit on my 2015 XC60 D5
The indicated temperature will drop to a significant negative temperature say -20℃ and then slowly climb up to an incorrect positive temperature.
I have already replaced the sensor in the passenger mirror, but to no avail.
Am fairly sure that this is symptomatic of a bad connection or a damaged wire.
What I do not have and have failed to find is a decent wiring diagram for trouble shooting.
Any help will be appreciated.
Nick.

Hi.
Wondered if you could help as we’re having a similar problem and our repair shop here seem to have no clue what to do.
On seemingly random occasions, when we get in the car the outside temp reads -20 or so. Then it gradually increases back up to the correct temp (c. 30C). However, the AC doesn’t start to cool - it seems to only blow outside temp air or warm air.
Did this happen with your car as well? Did you manage to fix the issue?
Jon.

Hi Jon
Yes my XC60 does pretty much the same thing. Unfortunately I have not fixed it yet because I have not found a decent wiring diagram and have been busy with other things. I will get back to it at some point and will let you know how I get on. Nick.
