Default new owner questions on locking and profiles

We have had a 2020 XC60 for a little over a month, love the car, but have a couple questions. First, can you lock the car if there is not a key near the car? My wife and I drove somewhere, I left with the key, she stayed in the car. When she got out, she tried to lock the car using the button lock on the outside door handle and tried using the lock button on the inside of the door. Neither worked, car would not lock. Do you have to have a key near the car to lock it?

Second - we each created driver profiles and associated them with our respective keys. I expected that in the car was set on say my profile and my wife walked up to the car and opened the door with her key that the car would automatically adjust to her settings. It only seems to work if the car is locked. If it is locked and she opens the door, the car automatically senses her key and changes the set, mirrors, etc. to her settings. If the car is not locked and she opens the door, nothing happens. Did I set one of the settings incorrectly?

Thanks

1. I have a 2019 but I believe the 2020 works the same way. In order to lock the car you must have the FOB nearby. The inside lock control only works if ALL doors are closed.

2. The manual doesn't state specifically but from what I read, the driver profile only activates automatically when the vehicle locked and then unlocked....so in your case where the car is already unlocked, it will not detect the change in FOB and profile attached. You will have to manually select the driver profile from the screen.

I m having an issue with my profile as well. I have my profile set and my media is set on Sirius radio. If I use apple car play then exit the vehicle, the next time I start my car it automatically plays an FM station with static. I never listen to FM radio so I don't even know why it keeps defaulting to this station. I have tried a factory reset and made my profile again but as soon as I use apple car play it changes my media back to FM radio? Has anyone else had this issue?

yes I do. I just got my 2020 XC60 last week. Still figuring it out. Have you found a fix to this yet?

One of the recent updates to the Sensus software had a bug in it where it changed the audio source to FM every time the car was started. There has been another update to fix this issue. Get your dealer to install the software update.
