I just spoke to my local Volvo dealer. He quoted me $1588 for this enhancement to my 2023 XC60 T8 Recharge.

Anyone think this is worth it?

He confirmed it’s just a remapping of the Ecu and transmission points then added I’d get a badge and cool leather wallet 🙄

It does look like just throttle response time change and shift adjustments

 

Thanks for the input. I’m not going to do it. My previous car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. 707hp. Fast as all get out. Violently quick. But so thirsty.

Drove a hybrid on vacation and decided to go all green. Discovered the Recharge. Thought it would be quick. It’s not. Wife had a Jag F-Pace SVR. Traded it for a John Cooper Works Mini.

Now my Volvo is the slowest we’ve owned for a while and I thought that if Polestar turned it into a beast it would be worth it. But I’ll just steal the wife’s car if i want fun, and enjoy the XC60 for it’s maturity and safety features.

 

The tiny 2 liter engine with ~300hp and the electric motor with another ~xxxhp - will never be a beast. It is however almost the fastest Volvo. (Sad I know, compared to some of your previous rides)
