Bought a new XC60 recharge 15 months ago and love the car. But I've had 5 punctures and had to replace 3 tyres - at great expense.
I've complained to the dealer as I don't be;ieve this is "normal". First complaint, when I had just had 4 punctures and two replacemnt tyres, they shrugged it offf as bad luck. Just had the third replacement tyre - and thats 2 with damage to the inner sidewall, which is unusual and not evidence of poor driving on my part - the dealer admitted that they were aware of a number of customers who have complained, but none with the number of issues I've had. Suggested I change the wheels and replace tyres with a larger profile! At my cost of course.
When I baulked at that, he suggested I take it up with Volvo customer service.
But before I did that, I thought I'd check in here to see if this is a common problem. Please let me know if you've had similar issues.

I'm not sure that Rim Size has anything to do with getting Nails/Screws and Punctures in your tire.....

I drive several cars with very low profile ( 30 ) tires and have not have any significant issues. I also do not think there is inherently anything wrong with the Volvo Rims/Tires.

Is there construction where you are driving? This can leave abundant Nails and Screws on the roadway.

Only one of teh punctures was due to a screw and that was fixable. As I said, it was the dealer who suggested there was possibly an issue with the tyre size. the guys working on the tyres believe the holes in the inner side walls are very unusual. There's no construction going on my typical journeys.
I'll take it up with Volvo customer service, but I suspect I won't get much joy with them.

Regarding tire size, what's listed in either the: owners manual or auto tire specs on the driver's pillar? Compare that to the mounted tires.
