I have a 2000 XC70. Every now and then the Spedometer will go to zero and the odometer will go blank. This can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour. Everything will then return to normal. Sometimes the check engine and other idiot lights will come on too. Is this the sensor that goes on the transmission? Other posts indicate the ABS module. How critical is the replacement? If it is the ABS, when it completly fails, will the car still run?

 

Have the ABS module rebuilt it will only cost about $100.00.

 

Yup. Same thing happened to my 2K R... Something about that year and thier ABS modules...
