2010 xc70 alternator help

Has anyone replaced the alternator on this vehicle, not an xc90.. I can not get the air intake past a small metal pipe on the block????

I just went through the same thing. I realized there are 2 bolts through the bottom of the manifold holding it to the block. Once you remove those it should give you enough clearance.
