Hey,

Just got a message today during normal driving about an urgent power service being needed, red battery lights and all. No loss of power, no decreased performance, nothing. Car only has 49xxx on it. Read on here some similar accounts of alternator issues giving the same signs, was curious if anyone had any info regarding this. Also, have read that generic mechanics can solve this easily as opposed to dealers, thoughts here would also be appreciated.
