2020 XC90 turbo issue - voided warranty
Hi all, some help here please
The turbo on my XC90 failed on 29th May 2023, the Volvo dealership have refused to cover the cost of replacing the turbo along with other parts that may or may not have failed due to me not servicing the vehicle within the specified vehicle intervals, due to me being to busy at work and family matters.
Firstly, I have contacted 3 different mechanics, one of which is a Volvo specialist, they all categorically stated that a simple oil change would not have impacted the turbo failing, is this correct?
Secondly, could I take Volvo to small claims court in order for them to complete the repairs under the warranty?
thirdly, has anyone else turbo issue with similar age car?
Thank you
F

Volvo UK replies back. Car age, No service history and car parts changed even though every year was fully serviced by Halfords (they're respectable garage, used them pass 12 years for all family cars we had) and no where states any parts changed within the invoice or any paperwork..
Volvo UK are a joke!! When their own Volvo dealer has said faulty parts but do not care.. I do advise any Volvo owners be cautious with Volvo UK. They supplied with faulty manf.
Spoke with a solicitor and he advised can be time consuming and send parts for further evaluation to investigation team, more costly.. one main issue. Volvo UK will just reply you didn't get it serviced at our Volvo authorised service centres and maybe written somewhere in their T&C's... Never ever buy a Volvo..
