Default ATF quantity

Hi,

I have just got a Volvo xc90 with the d5 185) engine (UK), 2007. I want to change the ATF and cannot find out how much oil I need for this. The plan is just to drain and fill. I have tried searching google and several forums, while there are lots of 'do it l like this' posts no one seems to mention amounts. Thanks for any advice.

Specifications, including the correct fluid type (ie JWS 3309) can be found in the owners manual. if you have the TF-80SC transmission (6 speed ) then its about 7.4 quarts. Note that when you do a drain/fill only about 60% comes out. you can use the bucket method to measure the amount drained then feed back in the same amount to ensure you don't under/over fill.

Thanks for that, that is more than I have so far.
