I have a 2006 XC90, 2.5, FWD and keep getting an "ANTI-SKID SERVICE REQUIRED" message, which by the way goes away when I push the READ button. I also have a DiCE unit running 2015A. When I do a diagnostics it shows the BCM-0133 code. Not knowing which sensor is #2 I went ahead and bought two of them new on Ebay for about $50.00. Put both in and still get the BCM-0133 code. What few brain cells I have left told me that if I switch the connectors around at the sensor, I should be able to maybe pinpoint the problem.......NOPE.....I still get the BCM-0133 code only. So with electrical systems my weak spot are these diagnostic scans telling me that the problem is with the wiring for the sensor, no matter which sensor I have the wiring pigtail connected to, or do I maybe have a issue with the BCM, Yaw sensor, or the SAS?
Any advice and help is more than appreciated!!
One of the best things about VIDA is if you click on the code you will get suggestions as to what the problem might be. Hopefully you have seen the screen shots below. You can actually test the pressure sensors to see if they are sending a signal to the ABS module. You have about 4 choices - the last is a problem with the ABS module. So go thru what Vida suggests (DON"T buy any other parts to simply swap not knowing if that's the problem) and possibly if you can't find a problem - there may be an internal problem in the control unit. A company such as xemodex can test and repair yours.
Thanks for the reply Hoonk! Do they make one of them VIDA for Dummies books?!?! This system does way more than I know how to make it do. I have seen those screenshots but I think I moved away from them because of the reference to a "Break out box" and "wiring diagrams" both of which leave me out in left field with a football bat! I will get out to the car in a little bit and run the diagnostics again.
***UPDATE*** I did a very thorough flush of the brake lines,RR+LR+RF+LF, and then did another scan, checking the electrical output of both sensors. Sensors are reading almost identically. Cleared all codes and scanned again. Results....."no faults!" I think I got off easy on this one. The prices to repair the other possibilities are unbelievable. Thanks again to Hoonk for his help!
