Default Clicking Relay?

My 2003 UK model XC90 has a clicking sound coming from behind the dash on both sides when the engine is switched off. It sounds like a relay but having had a look at other threads on this forum it was suggested that this could be the electronic control module (courtesy light) or fuse 28 (alarm/siren). I have taken out both fuses to find the former leaves no dash lights, seat movement or the ability to switch the car on and it still clicks regardless. Similarly removing fuse 28 didn't stop the clicking sound which is rythmic and sounds like the indicator relay.
Does anyone have a definitive fix for this please? many thanks.

start by pulling fuses to see which circuit the relay is on.

i am a little cautious about removing fuses as i now have the srs urgent service light for the air bag after taking out a fuse. however, not sure there's any other way of doing it. presumably i got this fault for not removing the earth cable on the battery? i will have another try and take all the fuses one by one.

Usually the only way to get rid of a srs code is with a compatible scan tool.
