Code P2118 Throttle Body
I'm the owner of a 2008 XC90 and have recently had intermittent issues with the car starting and the idle running irregular. Some days it does this and other days it starts and runs fine. Hooking it up to a diagnostic machine gives codes P2118 and P2106 and recommends replacing the throttle body assembly. Has anybody else experienced something such as this?
While I tend to do basic repairs myself, would changing this out be a simple bolt on, plug and play fix or would there be more complicated tunings along with it? The other question is where is a good place to find Volvo parts? My local Autozone said they don't carry it since it is a factory installed part.

what engine does your XC90 have? Yes throttle bodies and ETMs are a common problem area for the "drive by wire" Volvos. It's a dealer part but you can google around for rebuild services which may be available for your year model. Tascaparts.com is usually the cheapest dealer web store - and useful for finding the OEM part number and diagrams as well. FCP Euro site also has info on the install noting a software update is required (ie pairing/tuning with the ECU...) which may require a shop have the VIDA DICE tool that the dealers use.
