My 08 XC 90 (3.2 AWD) gets and average 14.9mpg according to my monitor.. is that totally crappy? When i look around it seems that others are gettting better than this.. it is serviced regularely.

 

mileage varies greatly depending on how you drive (cruising at constant speed vs. city driving, accelerating hard vs. softly). the AWD adds weight so it will get worse mileage than non awd. i'd check mileage driving constant 60 mph for an extended time and compare that to the EPA "highway" mileage rating on window sticker. it should be within a couple of mpg. 15 mpg for a largeish suv with a v8 and awd doesn't sound that bad. worn O2 sensors can cause poor mileage.
