The latch handle of my XC90 popped off in my hand - well at least part of it is in my hand. So I have a couple of questions about replacement.

Do I need to replace the entire lock mechanism?

FYI: The piece that popped off has the lock cylinder in it.

I don't see anything that looks broken but I don't know what it might look like if it was complete and not a piece in my hand.

The best scenario would be if this piece could be "popped" back into the glove box door?

I located a complete latch replacement for $12 but it does not have the lock cylinder - if I need to buy that, then the question is how to remove the latch cylinder from the piece in my hand and how to put then new complete mechanism back into the glove box door?

I search YouTube and Google without finding some instruction. Can someone provide guidance?
