Good evening, hello I have ran into an issue with my volvo's right passenger axle and highly need a solution. I have a 2007 Volvo XC90 AWD 3.2L V6 Vin#:YV4CZ982171375099.

The issue I have ran into was when me and my mechanic where replacing the axle we noticed that it was what is called "Split Vin" meaning the parts where split by vin number and to go more in depth the exact make and model of my car for some parts would be split by Vin number. The issue we are running into was the part was not an accurate fit and when searching online and autostores could not find a Vin # part that is close to the axle I needed because my Vin # has a 37 and all the parts we see for this model we see start from Vin # 35 & ends at Vin # 36. Are we missing something here? Could it possible be that the part I need Vin number begins with 36? Basically we cannot find the specific axle that would fit to the passenger side because either it was to short or to wide.

 

Did you ever find the correct part # for your right axle? I have a 2007 AWD but cannot find consistent information about a replacement part, in fact, it is inconsistent. My VIN is 394881.

 

Have you called your local Volvo dealer, given them your VIN and asked for price and availability (and part number) ? With the hopefully correct part number then you can decide where to purchase your replacement axle from.
