I own a 2004 xc90 with 280,000 miles on it and Goodyear Viva All Season tires with a lot of miles left.
I just bought this car, so I am concerned:How will it perform in snow? We live in the Appalachian Mountains. There are many hills.

My only experience was in one with the AWD not working, and that was poor. They have big wide tires and that did not do well with just front wheel drive. I would expect with AWD working it would have been fine.

 

This car is brilliant in snow we live in the north of Scotland and never had a problem.
