My mom just got a 2007 (maybe an 06i'm not 100% sure)xc90 awd V8, i was curious as to any common problems i should look out for or be aware of. I am pretty impressed by the vehicle so far, very comfortable and lots of power

thanks in advance

Duh, where were my eyeballs[8D]? I actually replied when I woke up suddenly in the middle of a night, have been extremely stressed-out lately[X(].

Good for your mom, because the L6 models have hideous tranny.

Welcome to XC90 ownership,Green850. I have an '05 XC90, also with the V-8, which has been very satisfactory in all ways, knock on wood. Hopefully your mom's experience will be equally pleasant!

For us its my wife's daily driver. She averages 19.2 to 20.1 miles per gallon which I think is great for the XC-90. I'll be very curious to learn how this compares to the mileage you experience.

You'll find it helpful if you read through some of the threads here, as there are quite a few conversations on things like tire wear, one of which also has a link to a recall on a tie rod recall which can affect 2003-2006 model years.

If you search through some of my earlier posts I mention a few small issues we had with ours at the onset, things like rear wheel bearings which were replaced three times (right side, then left side, then right side again) but all done under warranty, and while the vehicle was in for service, so no other time lost for repairs.

If you have any questions on my earlier posts feel free to get back to me with a private message.

I'll be tackling my own oil change on it in the near future and will post my findings along with any tricks I learn (or stumble into!) once I'm done, and hopefully that'll help you too.

Good luck once again!
