Default Pics of my new XC90 and a question about Sirius

I decided months ago that a XC90 was the best bang for my family's buck and have been impatiently waiting for the right one to show up for sale. Finally, a week ago I found it. 2011 3.2 R Design with RSE. BLIS, NAV, Prem Audio (so disappointing they dropped Dynaudio for 2011) and a bunch of other goodies. Finding an xc90 optioned out is not an easy task! This is a CPO and Volvo's CPO program was really what always redirected me back to them. The car is under bumper to bumper until 2/2018.

One question I do have is regarding the Sirius, which we are addicted to and used to having in our cars. If I turn the selector **** on the stereo to S1 or S2 all I get on the display is a blank screen with no audio. I am not able to change the station or get any type of visual or audible feedback. It is almost like the module is not there, which I guess is my concern at this point. My understanding is that MY11 there is no longer "Sat Prep" or "Sat Ready" and that the car should be ready to activate. There is even a blue Sirius sticker on the driver side door. Any ideas on this? Hopefully I am just doing something wrong.

Thanks

yeah the problem is in the rdar module and it needs to be reloaded. so you have to take it to the dealer so they can perform a rdar upgrade to recover. what happens is after the 6 month trail is over the the module goes offline but the software will cause it to come back on when the car is off to update it while it is still offline. eventually it will start draining your battery if you dont do anything soon. unless you have over 50000 miles or 60000 if you have safe and secure it should be free. after it is recovered you will only have a preview channel until you buy a subscription.

That is great info, thank you!

One completely unrelated follow up, do you know if it is possible to remove the headrests on the second row seats? I have figured out how to pull them down but I am wondering if they can be removed. My kids car seats would fit better without them in place.

Thanks again
