I have a 2004 volvo xc90 T5 2.5L. When I start up the car, it makes rattling noise for about 3 seconds and then stops. It does not make the noise on a cold start and not on when its hot. It only makes the noise when it has cooled down after being driven. PLEASE HELP!!!

 

It's probably just the motors for the climate control flaps/vents moving

 

I would agree with the control flaps statement. Mine has done the same thing since new.

 

Yeah, mine too by the way also happens on other cars, only some are louder than other.
