Default Water dripping on the passenger side

My 07' XC90 recently developed this water/condensation drips on the passenger side. It appears that the drips are more or less it's depending on how much I used the AC. I removed the cabin filter to have more visibility of the drips. It appears that the drips are coming from the housing of the cabin filter housing. I don't believe this is from the rain since we haven't had any rain for over a week. If I don't use the AC, no drips whatsoever. Drips appears after the AC been on for good hour or two.

I looked but I'm not seeing any hose has loose connection or what not. Not sure what have missed.

This condensation drips is driving me crazy!! Help!

Thanks,

Jay

Guys,

Where are is the location of the condensation hose located in a 2007 XC90? I did all the cleaning under the cowl and the sunroof drain holes. I believe the condensation output end is clogged, because I am not get much or at all of the condensation drips from the outside of the car when the AC is on.

Thanks.

Get some stiff plastic reel such as grass trimmer reel, about $2 at hardware store and poke the rubber hose drain from under the car.

I don't have the photo for XC90, but for 850, S70/V70 series, you can disconnect the rubber drain in the center console and poke downward with the plastic reel.

On the other hand, it is easier to get under the car, look up toward the center console area, you will see a rubber hose hanging down.

Anyway, Volvo 850, S70/V70 photo for the records...

I had the same problem with my wifes 07 XC90. Condensate was backing up and flooding the passenger floor. I wasn't sure if it was rain or condensate. Drove me crazy, I checked the sunroof drains, under the hood and windshield for any gaps, and tore apart the cabin air filter but it ended up being an easy fix. If you lift the "DRIVERS SIDE" floor mat, you will see a condensate drain connection. Just disconnect the hose and blow the debis from the line. I actually had a visual debris clog at this connection. At first, I tried from under the car and it's really hard to get to the drain line from there. Hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

The same problem with V70 II. The hose is not visible from under the car due to plastic covers but it quite easily accessible from drivers side(left) after removing plastic covers near accelerator.
