have you removed the serpentine belt to see if there's excessive play on the pulley?

The belt is off. The pully seems to be lose. Taking it to the mechanic not sure if I should just re torque the pulley or not..the the tentioner pully bent and caused this..can I savage the alternator pulley? Or fo I need a new alternator?

The mechanic seems to know nothing of this..he just keeps saying replace the whole alternator, but I did the alternator test and it's fine...spinning good...NO damage in sight...not sure what step to take..ad I have seen people change the alternator and then start to have bigger problems

Your mechanic should be able to replace just the pulley/clutch. I found this:

That's 2600..a new alrenator is way cheaper. And why not use the same pulley since it isn't damaged..can't he just re torque it properly..already ordered a new pulley just asking cause the car is being worked on today and the pulley part won't be here till mid next week.
