2000 V70 Slow to Start
I've been lurking on this forum for some time, but haven't posted. I'm looking for advice/experience on a little issue I'm having with my 2000 V70.
When I turn the key to the start position, sometimes I have to hold it there for a few seconds before the starter motor engages. I suspect that the current is not getting to the starter in an efficient manner. I replaced the battery exactly one year ago, and the starter motor in July. I have not had a problem otherwise.
IIRC, when I had this problem on my 94 850 a few years back, I cut off about an inch of the positive battery lead and replaced the terminal with a fresh one. I just wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this problem & if there was another item I should be inspecting or replacing, other than the positive cable.
