Weirdest thing ever.
So this has happened to me twice already. But I thought it would be a good idea to post it here. Basically, ever since I've gotten back from break, my car has been doing the weirdest thing I have ever seen. For some reason, whenever I com back to my car after sitting in the parking lot for some time, the driver's seat is pushed up all the way to the front, and the seat-back is all the way forward. Whenever I park my car, I always lock it, and I've never left my seat like that. But for some reason, when I come back to it, it's not in the position that I've left it. Its honestly the weirdest thing and it's creeping me out. Any thoughts?
All I can think of is someone has a copy/set of your keys/keyfob. and is freaking you out, I have a V70 99 and my seats are manual.. one suggestion would be try and video your car from where this happens and that should give you the answer.. other then that mate... call the Ghost Busters!!
Well, maybe someone hs a key and a fob that works with my car, but unlikely cause when I bought the car it only came with one key and no fob. Also the driver's seat is electric so it could be an electrical problem. What's weird is it only happens when it's parked for a while. For instance, when I go to the store and I come back to my car not to much later, it's in the regular position I set it. But if I leave it parked for some time, usually it will move. I am going to try to rig up a camera to find out what's going on.
Post up the Vid here when you do please
Ive never heard of such a thing... BUt heres another thing...a thought... trace back to the fuse board from the fuse then to the relay see if theres any sound or clicking going on it sounds like a really strange fault

Ok so I may have figured out what was wrong. It appeared to have been trying to switch from one seat position (position 1) to one of the other ones. It must be some sort of electrical glitch or short since it happened rather sporadically, even sometimes while I was driving. So as a work around, I just set the seat positions all to the same one so that it wouldn't change the seat.
do you have keyless entry? On my Jeep with memory seats, hitting the unlock botton more than once fast selects other memory settings. such as, if i click it twice fast, it goes to position one, 3 times, pos. 2. and so on.
