Default What size screws/bolt holding the e-brake cable to the chassis?

Hi,
I am replacing the e-brake cables on my 1998 V70.

At the rearmost point of the rear swingarm, there's a torx screw holding the cable in place. Of course, they were rusted and stripped.

What is the size/thread of those bolts? I'd like to replace them with corrosion resistant hardware, preferably something with a hex head instead of torx.

thank you

After lots of measuring and comparing I believe these screws are M6 with a 1.25 thread pitch.

I cannot find any replacements in that size, anywhere. I'm going to try an M6-1.0 and hope the finer thread will bite and work.

Replacing those e-brake cable bolts with corrosion-resistant hardware is a smart move, especially with a hex head for easier handling. The thing is, the size and thread of those bolts can vary depending on the vehicle's specifics. I stumbled upon this online store specializing in bolts and screws, and they've got a ton of options. I'd recommend checking them out. They might have the exact specs you need for your '98 V70. Plus, they could offer some expert advice on the best hardware for the job. And hey, I know the struggle of working on older cars. It's all about the love and dedication we put into keeping them running smoothly.

Oh man, what a wild ride with that check engine light! Dealing with unexpected critter guests can be a nightmare. I once had a similar ordeal when a family of mice decided to make a cozy home in my car engine. Thankfully, I reached out to a local pest control service recommended by https://pestcontrolcompanies.net/pest-control-near-me/ and they helped me sort it out.
