Question Need 2 Replace back right broken window Volvo S90 1998 - DIY or Mechanic/Glass proff?

Hi,

A couple of days ago I returned to my car and there the back right window was broken, shutter into tiny pieces.
Luckily there wasn't anything to steal so the whole thing was annoying.

I'm not a big fan of cars nor have my own tools to use for this issue (but I'm almost positive my friends can help).

I saw on eBay the glass for the window for around $50.
Plus some windows regulator clips ~$8 (a friend sent me a link lol)

If I was to consider the options - Cost-Benefit, what would be the best choice to put this whole thing aside?

Please help

If anyone knows about a professional person in the North Jersey region - Paterson-Newark area I would love to getr some tips.

THANK YOU !!!

You can price new using a dealer web site (tascaparts.com and volvowholesalepartsdirect.com are two sites to check out). If you need the right passenger door glass, the PN looks to be 1358484 and goes for about $85. If you want to go used, check out car-parts.com for a yard near you or search Craigslist for anybody parting a car out (S90s are relatively rare compared to an S70) so ebay or new are reasonable. Regarding the work, you can call glass shops like Safelite to see what they quote for the part plus labor to get an idea of the effort. Regarding the DIY, each model car is a bit different so you'd need to remove the door card (the interior trim) to see how easy it is to access the window lift mechanism and to clean out the old glass. My guess is a shop would be done in two hours so I'd budget $300 for the job.
