Changed a valve stem on the right front tire. It was leaking air.

I also repaired my R/F door. It would not open from inside. I have found a fix for repairing it. The next one I do I will be taking pictures and making a walk through for repairing them. It saves you from having to buy a new latch assembly for the 850's.

Volvo does not sell the parts to repair the 850 latches but I know what model to buy parts for to fix it.

Replaced my front and rear brake pads with Akebono Euro Ceramic's. First wheel was a bit hard for me. Never changed brakes before. Will be doing them myself from now on....! lol

Repaired the arm rest. The hinge was totally broken.

One side of the hinge had the plastic screw sleeve broken off so I glued it with some high impact super glue. I then got a hinge from the salvage yard since I was there (the stealer wants $7.95) and re-attached it today.

Now I'm looking for some kind of fix for the busted hinge area so it doesn't get torn off again.

Started to clean the interior of my wagon. It was sitting for about a year from the previous owners and was dirty and yucky inside. Started to clean up nicely though.

Had the wheels balanced. Turning out to be a nightmare. I found that my tires were leaking air because of the traditional clip on weights. So I told the kind folks at Wal-Mart to remove those weights and put the correct ones on. (Wal-Mart will balance & rotate your tires ever 5,000 miles if you pay them $7.50 per wheel).

Well, when I got the car back they had rotated two tires and put them on the wrong side. When I hit the highway it flet as if one of the wheels was going to fall off. So I checked them when I stopped and noticed that one (or two) of the tires were going in the wrong direction. Preformance tires usually are directional and must rotate the proper direction to run correctly. I also noticed that they stuck the weights all over the wheels. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING NICE WHEELS IF THOSE UGLY WEIGHTS ARE TACKED ALL OVER THEM. So I went back after hours to have the tires rotated to the proper direction and they offered me an oil change (think I'll pass on having the stooges change my oil).

So, I'm thinking about going back up there to get them to hide the weights behind the spokes.

1997 960 wagon

Today, I replaced the drivers side exterior door handle. Took me 2.5 hours. I have no garage, it would rain, stop rain, stop . . . you get the picture.

After I finished, I noticed on the original handle the "guts" of the handle are held in by a single screw. If the right side breaks I may be able to install the new "guts" in the old handle. I would then do the same to the left side.

One of the laziest maintenance items. Changed out the air filter on wife's V70t. Next is the cabin air filter. Thanks to spgGroton, saved 50% over what my local dealer wanted to change the air filter.
