What did you do to your car today?
Over the weekend, we (my mechanic boyfriend & I) [I'm learning, not freeloading!]:
Replaced the intercooler piping with 3" aluminum pipes, blew the distributor, custom made a "throttle body coupler connector pipe" (I quote because I don't know the actual name), blew the main coupler that attaches to the turbo, increased the boost from 3 to about 10, and rigged (until we can fix it) the fan to actually work for the first time since I bought the car.
My boy sounds wonderful ('94 850 Turbo Wagon) but feels like **** without that coupler. Work in progress!

Failing starter finally dies.
Been going out for months. About ever 5th start I would hold the key and nothing, have to hold the key for a few seconds before it would engage and crank the motor.
I'm from the old school of, if it ain't broke don't fix it (except for timing belts, there's no return from those failures). Drove with a bad battery for 9 months, a bad tranny for 3 months, a weak alternator for 21 months. So, yes I'm a risk taker and love adventure. Lol

Yes, the only year Volvo did that. They are called Titans. They are pretty soft so most of them are bent. As people bent them Volvo replaced them with the Volans.

850R
New battery.
S60
New instrument cluster. Managed to get a later model with the aluminium rings in it. According to the 2nd hand dealer they tried to use it on another S60 pre 2004 and it didn't work with that car. But hey i love chances and took it anyway. Looks fantastic and work 100%. Probably need to start a thread for this car and the 850R.

Started a brake system flush but the rear caliper bleed screw snapped off so now I need to buy a new one. One the positive side, replaced the busted front right fog light, installed 2 new turn signal assemblies, and replaced the airbag computer with a good used one. No more SRS light!
