1995 240 VIN engine code 83???
Anyone know the difference between a B230F and a B230F"D" in a 1995 240?? The VIN engine ID code is 83 which I found was a B230FD. Is there a difference in cylinder head gaskets? I don't see that engine in my gasket catalogs.
Bubba: A 1995 940 B230F verses a 1995 940 B230FD
Thanks guys, but I finally found what I was looking for..
Just for anyone that might run across this thread at a later date and is wondering the same thing. This is second hand so treat it accordingly. I 'mnot telling where I found it..
Apparently, the B230FD has a different (M) camshaft, has a rounded tooth timing belt (and gears) that has a 100,000 mile service intervel, the cylinder head casting has a couple of extra egr?? passages, and the block has piston cooling nozzles.
Luckily, the first responder was right the gaskets appear to be the same.
