Default 90' volvo 240 oil issue

Hey, I am new to this forum. I am a proud owner of a 1990 244 has over 120k miles. Is running very well and had any problem since i bought it. I have an issue on what oil viscosity i should use. Last oil change was 6 months ago, and i used Quaker State 10w-30. I pretty much dont use the car for long trips since i am a highschooler. But soon Im going to start college and I am going to give it longer trips. I live in the caribbean son the temps in winter dont drop lower than 62F and general temps are alwaus over 85F and in summer is almost over 100f in the most higher lands and I live in the coast. So i was lloking for some expert advice on what oil i could use. I was expecting to use 15w-40 or Ursa SAE 40, but I need and opinion just to make sure. Thanks to your attention. Greetings

I live in Texas. Winters can get down into the teens during winter and routinely into the 100's in summer. I run 10W-30 year round. It's what the engine was designed for...save the 40W for some worn out clunker...

indeed, 10W30 is the recommended oil weight for all temperatures from sub-freezing to sahara-hot.
