Default 91 940T Wagon - 18MPG in City?

Should this be alarming? Been watching the mileage on the 940T wagon and I'm getting roughly 18-20MPG per fill.

I've done the basic tune-up with oil change, new spark plugs, air filter... What else is there?!

Or could just be the 4Cylinder hauling the weight + me lol.

18-20 mpg in city is not bad at all... The turbos are rather fuelish. They are EPA rated at 17 city, 20 hwy.

Update: On 5w40 Rotella T6 and Shell VPower 91, I get 24mpg (US) on the highway.

Pretty good!

Not bad! You should be able to beat the EPA ratings if you really try.
Put some 45lbs of air in the tires, it really helps too...
I get 40 mpg out of my 2001 VW Passat with 1.8t and 5 speed, much higher than rated.
