Default 940 GLE Charging trouble

my 1991 940 GLE has a charging system problem. when the car is running, i read 11.5 volts (battery voltage). i rplaced the alternator to no avail. all fuses in car (behind ash tray) are good. checked continuity between -&+ poles on alt and battery and all is good. when charging woes began, warning lights below inst cluster stopped lighting on start up. only shift lock and seat belt light now on start up. any suggestions???

The ALT light needs to work to get the alternator to work. The circuit board in the back of your instrument panel is probably bad (cracked solder).
