cant get my speedometer working any ideas

Thumbs down cant get my speedometer working any ideas

okay ive checked the sensor running to my rear dif its plugged in the wires are fine because i saw a video that said if your abs light is on and the speedometer isint working its probably that but its fine so does anyone know how i can fix it yes my abs light is on and no speedometer everything else on my cluster works fine. thanks again proud 940 owner
btw its a 1991 940 turbo with the b230ft.

'91's are notorious for bad capacitors in the speedo. You can try and solder in new ones or upgrade to a later and better year:

IIRC, a later dashboard with the fixed speedo circuit will have the wrong gas gauge reading. or something annoying like that.

That's true, but if he has access to a local pick n pull, the parts(including a different gas gauge) are readily available and cheap. Better than sending to be repaired which can cost over $300.
