Default crank pulley

What is the magic Swedish trick for removing the 240 crank pulley? I have a puller but there is nowhere and no room to screw in the bolts. Am I missing something really obvious here?

Once the screw is out then you can use 2 screwdrivers or prybars between the pulley and the timing cover and slowly work it off.

thanks, Tech! Why I coul not get it off yesterday is beyond me, but two prybars and some patience and off it came. After that, changing the belt was the easiest one I've chnaged yet. It sure beats changing one on a New beetle TDI!
