Looking for Front Calipers - 1993 245 (w/ABS)
start with the Volvo friendly stores like FCP Euro, IPD USA etc, also try dealer web stores like Tasca Parts. A good trick is to find the factory part number on a dealer web store then plug that into the various parts stores to see what comes up. (or just google "Volvo 5003755" and "Volvo 5003754")
Tasca was a big fail with my last order a month ago. Even with the VIN they sent the wrong part, then took forever to get their attention! No answer on the phone, no call back, emails went ignored. My local Dealer charged me less and no shipping cost.
I had already ordered a caliper from ipdusa but it's still back ordered. I was hoping to find one sooner...
In the meantime I have a question.
I put the left caliper back on the car with the worn down pads. One pad is alomost down to metal on the seized side of the caliper and the other pad is still okay. The siezed pistons on the bad side, I think, are not functioning at all. I'm not getting an overheated or smoked brake when I drive. So, the question is, is this okay to use the brakes in this condition until my part arrives. I do need the car now and then for short drives.
Also, is it okay to put new pads on the right front wheel while I'm waiting with the left front wheel in a compromised state?

I found a caliper at Pelican Parts. https://www.pelicanparts.com/Volvo/index-SC.htm
I phoned them directly and they have the caliper in stock even though it's not listed that way on the website.
All is well...
