need help fender rub 18s
Hello i just installed 18s on my car with 1.25 inch adaptors even with oem wheels i had this problem the gap between the rear tires and plastic liner in fender wheel is not even an inch and today i just saw that the tire broke a piece of fender wheel well and on the other side you can tell its scuffing it i just replaced shock on left side and its still sagging any ideas what it could be?

Sounds like your rear springs are shot if it does the same thing with o.e. wheels. Out of curiosity what size tires are you running? Wheel diameter is inconsequential unless the wheels are a larger diameter than the original wheels AND tires...I've run 17's on my 144, 245, 740 and 760 with no issues.

225/50/18 but on my stock wheels that was same tire size minus 18s were 16. Also another question when im at a stop and start going i drive with my arm on arm rest i feel a vibration feels like its right underneath the glove box like draft shaft or something is loose any ideas on that one

So...just exactly how do you determine the tire size to use? Using the same dimensions but in an 18 makes the tire 2" larger in diameter and over 6" more in circumference. I guess they do rub. There's a bit more to choosing tires than wheel diameter. A 245/40/18 would have essentially the same diameter as the 16's you were running.
As for the center line vibration...it could be the transmission mount, center carrier bearing or mount, u joint...that's where I'd start looking.

Yup...In the pic, look on the far lower left...see the nut and bolt right above the exhaust pipe? That's the lower attachment for the tranny mount...the mount itself is above the cross member. I usually remove the lower nut, drop the cross member, remove the top bolt holding the mount to the tranny. Replacing is just the reverse. 30 minutes tops...

ok another question might be the issue for rub on bumps i replaced shock with 20 dollar gas matic shock recently when i hit bumps i hear a clunk so i did the old pushing up and down on left rear bumper and sounds like its the shock making noise do you think it could be a defected shock im going to return it and see i removed the shock and it extends back to normal really slowly
