Default Normal Firing line KV 740 Turbo Scope Secondary

I scoped my secondary ignition oh, last week. I had issues with a bad wire, then getting a bad manufactured wire, Did full tune up + dizzy (different problem). Running okay, minus an exhaust manifold leak.

Anyway I seen about 5KV max on the firing line. That seems low to me. I don't have a comparison vehicle to test.

Anyone scope secondary on a 940 or 740 turbo?

Yeah, I figured I wouldn't get a response to this. Highly doubtful anyone on this section of the forum even owns a scope.

Take it as you want. Simply stating facts I've observed. but this forum is kind of a joke. There's maybe a hand full of people that know anything about cars and a ton of newbie first posters and people that know nothing about cars. Getting help ,I need, on here is kind of a waste of time. Ton of cheap people that don't want to take there car to a shop looking for quick and easy fixes that have no clue what there doing.

No disrespect to the few members that are knowledgeable.

Well, yeah, no argument with most of your post BUT I don't think you need to own a scope to be a competent Volvo tinkerer. I have never had a need to "scope a secondary" on a Volvo, and I have been into these cars since my 1986 740TGO and don't mean to brag but there isn't anything on a Red Block I have ever failed to sort out, without a scope. (I have eight Volvos right now, and they come and go. Can't buy new ones if I don't sell one now and then.)

With all the posts I have, I have never asked for help on this forum and I never will... There are many other Volvo forums for that, like the Brickboard for one. This one, well, it's usually someone that got a $200 Volvo, if not for free, and is trying to flog it until they can get a Kia. Enthusiasts they are not! The "experts" here, the "post hogs", seem to have great need to chime in whether they have a clue or not or repeat what already was posted--most never touch a wrench... Some of them do take the time to look up things and write dissertations which I guess could be helpful for some. You'd think there would be a prize for posts, but may be it's just an ego thing, a need to look like an expert on something... Mostly it's the blind leading the blind.

Yea, it could be frustrating, but it's good for a laugh too...

Yes, it's not mandatory to have a scope. I've been in the field for years and just bought one. There is a lot of things you can look at and test better and faster if you know how to use it.

I'll have to register to brickboard.
